Our whole organsiation takes great care as to which insurance and investment products are recommended to individual clients. Our specialized teams frequently meet to discuss and debate financial products and services, the market outlook and opportunities for the use of investment instruments.

How do you join Unicorn as a consultant?
Our recruitment process has several key stages, which are outlined here. Our overriding aim is to ensure that our new consultants will be able to thrive and grow as part of the Unicorn family.
1. Attend ‘YOLO’ (You Only Live Once!)
If you are curious about what it’s like to be a financial consultant, please come along to one of our monthly YOLO sessions. Details of the next upcoming session can be found here.
You will be invited to meet a few of the leaders within our organisation. These interviews enable us to get to know you better and understand your motivation in seeking to become a financial consultant. Just as importantly, you have the opportunity to get to know us and our unique characteristics so that you can make an informed decision about joining us.
3. Professional Exams
In order to be a financial planner in Singapore, you must hold a license, which is issued by the Singaporean authorities. In order to be licensed, you must pass 8 modular examinations, which are set by the authorities. It usually takes about six weeks to take these exams but some consultants have done it in less time.
4. Cultural Training Program
This five day intensive training program introduces candidates to the Unicorn culture and the resources that we offer to continuously support and train our consultants. Training also covers professional development topics and you will be introduced to your coaching group. CTP is compulsory for all candidates.
5. Candidate Coaching Program
While waiting to pass your exams and receive your licence, you are encouraged to attend our bi-weekly coaching program for candidates, which is designed to assist you in your learning.
6. Licensed Consultant
Congratulations! You’ve made it to become a licensed consultant! But this is just the start of your journey. Now you have every opportunity to work hard, grow and make a difference.
