Outside of her professional life, Zenn has nurtured a love for baking for over a decade. The process of creating something from scratch and sharing it with loved ones brings her a sense of joy and fulfilment—especially when it deepens connections on special occasions.

Zenn was invited by the firm for her vast experience, deep intellectual capital, and her generosity in mentoring the next generation of Consultants. She leads a team of employees under her care and serves over 3,000 investors.

Hermawan holds a Master’s degree from NUS and began his career as an industrial engineer in a U.S. MNC. In 2004, he joined Unicorn, becoming one of the founding members who shaped the firm’s foundational pillars in family wealth planning, wealth protection, and wealth accumulation—pillars that continue to anchor Unicorn’s research and advisory strength today.

Carol has always been a high achiever—garnering top academic honors, medals, and awards throughout her early years. After graduating from Nanyang Business School with Second Class Honours, she initially believed that a career in multinational corporations was the natural path forward. Through her years as Unicorn, Carol experienced how the firm’s values-driven approach not only impacts investors’ financial outcomes but also shapes personal growth and character. Together with her husband, who is also a key member of the firm, Adelina brings a shared vision and unity of purpose to their work. Their partnership not only strengthens the business but also reflects the values they uphold—trust, connection, and family at the center of everything they do.

As a proud mother of two lovely daughters, Adelina finds immense joy and fulfillment in harmonizing a thriving professional practice with her family life. Kai Yun began his family wealth planning journey in 2007, starting as an apprentice with Unicorn while still studying at NTU.

As one of Unicorn’s pioneer builders, Kai Yun has dedicated nearly two decades to perfecting his craft. Today, as an Advanced Financial Planner and a specialist in serving high net worth individuals—mostly PMEs—he takes a diagnostic approach that goes far beyond surface-level advice. He takes the time to deeply understand each investor’s unique financial DNA—examining spending patterns, investment behavior, risk preferences, and long-term aspirations—to craft strategies that are not only technically sound but personally aligned.

Kai Yun believes that excellence in family wealth planning lies in the details: the careful dissection of data, the precision in structuring portfolios, and the clarity in communicating strategy. Kai Yun believes in building a strong servicing infrastructure—delivering high-quality, investor-centric planning at scale.

His mission is to empower investors to focus on what truly matters—their careers and families. Guided by the motto “Life is all about myself for others,” Kai Yun continues to lead with impact, purpose, and integrity.

Certified Advanced Financial Planner (CAFP)

The CAFP designation represents a mark of distinction earned by a select few within our firm who have demonstrated exceptional technical proficiency, strategic thinking, and commitment to investor success.

Out of the hundreds of professionals trained over the years, only three have attained this rigorous certification—testament to the high standards and deep expertise required. CAFPs are often called upon by fellow practitioners across the firm to support key investor engagements, where they conduct in-depth financial diagnostics and develop tailor-made blueprints with solutions that are both precise and easy for investors to embrace.

In addition to their advisory role, CAFPs also lead the development of internal training curriculum, and set a strong example through the way they run their professional practices.

The CAFP designation is not an exam-based certification—it is a recognition earned through real, on-the-ground experience.
